Our charming farm is located in the middle of serene nature. From rolling hills to lush meadows, the picturesque surroundings provide the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. For those looking for relaxation, our accommodation is an oasis of peace. Relax with a book in one of the seating areas in the garden, listen to the gentle chirping of birds or take a nap under the shade of an old walnut tree.
The sunsets here are breathtaking, with beautiful shades of pink and orange painting the sky as the day draws to a close.

Étang du Merle

La Fermette du Merle is located in the Nièvre and borders the 'Le Morvan' National Park. It is a hidden region of France where you will find rolling hill landscapes, vast forests and beautiful views. Meadows full of sunflowers alternate with wooded hills and small lakes (for example Étang du Merle). A perfect region for anyone who wants to experience the French countryside.

Villages, towns and castles
The region has many historic villages and towns with a medieval background that are more than worth a visit. The abbey of Vézelay, the old center of Avallon or the romantic Autun are recommended. But there are also small gems such as the villages of Arthel and Lormes.

La Fermette du Merle is an excellent base for visiting various wine regions. Centrally located between the 'Loire' areas of Sancerre and Pouliy Fume and the classic 'Burgundy' areas of Irancy & Chablis. But unknown wine regions such as Tannay and Vézelay are also recommended.
